Pregnancy Yoga classes help you feel at ease in your body and step out of the thinking mind. We practice Yoga flows, stretches & traditional postures so you can maintain appropriate fitness as your body changes. Breathing practices, meditation & relaxation will help you tap into your own hypnotic happy place. All to support, adjust and prepare physically, emotionally and mentally for giving birth and life with baby.
Naomi has a wealth of knowledge, and has taught hundreds of pregnant people since 2010. She is also mum to three fantastic children. She will passionately guide you throughout your pregnancy and beyond, with all things Yoga. Everyone can do Yoga regardless of flexibility or experience - you are most welcome to join our nurturing Yoga family and be supported on your journey into parenthood.
So, if you are finding it hard to fit in some calm time where there is absolutely nothing to think about except you and your baby, ease yourself into pregnancy and give yourself the time and space to enjoy it through Yoga.
Topics
In addition to Yoga, the many we topics we cover include:
Optimal Foetal Positioning
Active Birth
Pelvic Floor
Meditations and affirmations
Relaxation
Self-Care
Mental health
Anxiety, overwhelm & stress
The Fourth trimester
Breath and Relaxation.
We learn how to connect naturally and deeply to our core breath and build from there with useful techniques that are great for pregnancy, life with baby and beyond. It really is just a gentle reminder to your deeper essence, how gloriously relaxing deep breath is. Its nothing new, just tapping in to what you already know have and move away from 'coping' breath strategies (holding breath, gritting teeth). There are also many beneficial Yoga pranayamas to explore.
Fluid content
Each class is tailored to the group energy and ability. EVERYTHING can be adapted to suit your own unique needs - to confidently support any pregnancy or non pregnancy related dis-ease such as PGP, SPD, Sciatica, SI joint instability, hypermobility, low level depression/anxiety, carpal tunnel, High/low blood pressure to name but a few etc .
Support
You will be guided and held through this magical and life changing time in class and out - with access to Audio, video and written support material for home practice if you wish & joining our WhatsApp support group. Many parents also make important life-long friendships and continue to socialise once their babies are born.
What to expect
